Originally from RICE PALETTE - thank you for the recipe. LOVE IT :)
- 10-12 large raw shrimps/prawns peeled- i used about 6 only :)
- 150 g of asparagus cut into short lengths - mine, is the smaller variant of it
- 2-3 teaspoons of corn starch - i used about 1 teaspoon
- 2-3 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon of chicken broth mix
- 150 ml of chicken broth (optional)
- Mix 1 teaspoon of corn starch with the shrimp. Feel free to add a dash of salt and pepper.
- Take the remaining corn starch, and mix with 3-6 teaspoons of water. Set aside for later use.
- In a preheated wok or deep pan, heat the cooking oil, then add garlic. Once the garlic starts to turn a little brown, add the shrimp. Be careful to not overcook the shrimp, as it will have a rubbery texture and after the shrimps are done, remove aside.
- Place the asparagus into the wok. Add the chicken broth, or if you don’t have any, simply substitute with 150 ml of water.
- Add the chicken broth mix, sugar, fish sauce, and a pinch of salt. Stir-fry for 5 minutes until the asparagus is fully cooked, and the sauce is comes to a boil.
- Place the shrimp back into the wok or pan, and stir-fry for another minute.
- As it is boiling, add the corn starch mixture from Step #2. Finish off by adding the sesame oil.

salam deliah, cam sedap je. dulu2 masa kat adelaide, bila beli asparagus selalu tak tahu nak masak apa hehehe...last2 bakar je lah...atau gorenng...tapi jarang beli pun...

oh, mesti kuahnya pekat2 skit sbb ada tepung jagung tu. Saya tak pandai masak asparagus. kat pasar dok tenung jer. nice idea.. kalu jumpa sayur ni, saya capai seikat ;)
Rasanya kan, setakat hari ni, seingat ma, baru sekali je ma masak asparagus. Rasa macam tak muai la masak bendaalah ni.. hehehe... sedap tu memanglah sedap especially kalau kawankan dengan yang melengkar tu! Huhuhu...
p/s : Ma confuse sket ni Deliah.. Actually the two names you mentioned dalam comment ma tu, lagunya ke or the singer or the band? Hehehe... ma ni tahu lagu Tamally Maak ni pun sebab Shahir AF8 tu nyanyi punya sedapnya... tu yang cari...
