Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup fresh milk or powder milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
1 egg
Method:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Lightly grease a 9 inch round cake pan or brownie/muffin pan
In a large bowl, combine flour,cornmeal,sugar,salt and baking powder.
Then stir in egg,milk and vegetable oil until well combined.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Let it cool and cut into squares.
Spread the glaze.Enjoy!
Glaze:
1 cup of icing sugar
1/4 cup milk
Combine icing sugar and milk then whisk slowly. Spread or deep cornbread into the glaze. One at a time and set on a draining rack for 5 mins before serving.
